A former consultant to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Aperture and the Estate of Paul Strand, Peter Jones has organized numerous exhibitions throughout the United States and Europe. He is the photographer for Social Gardens, the author of The Changing Face of America and the co-author of Hero Dogs and The Gardener's Almanac. He has received the Communications Arts Award of Excellence as the picture editor for numerous books. As a companion to this exhibition, a monograph entitled Sweep Out Cottage has been published.
Jones is the president of High Tide Press, a director of the Center for Creative Photography, and a trustee of and the agent for the Josef Breitenbach Trust. He lives in New York City with his wife Charlotte M. Frieze, the Garden Editor of House & Garden magazine.
